Anemia
Anemia is a condition in which you don't have enough healthy red blood cells to carry adequate oxygen to the body's tissues. Anemia can be temporary or long term from mild to severe. Symptoms of anemia may include: fatigue, weakness, pale or yellowish skin, irregular heartbeats, shortness of breath, dizziness, and chest pain. Anemia occurs when you don't have enough red blood cells. This can happen if bleeding causes you to lose red blood cells more quickly than they can be replaced. If left untreated anemia can cause health complications such as severe fatigue, pregnancy complications, heart problems, and death. Treatments for anemia range from taking supplements to undergoing medical procedures. Many types of anemia can't be prevented but iron deficiency anemia and vitamin deficiency anemias can be avoided by having a diet that includes vitamins and nutrients.
